Training
The ERCOT Readiness project team is dedicated to providing critical support to market participants throughout the nodal program. This readiness includes training for market participants and ERCOT staff; communication with market participants, ERCOT staff, the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) and the public; and management of TPTF meetings and approval processes.
The scope of the project includes:
- Achieving readiness criteria according to the schedule;
- Establishing ERCOT as a trusted provider of appropriate, timely, and reliable information for Texas Nodal, as measured via internal and external market participant survey data, e-mail, feedback channels, and evaluation forms;
- Obtaining timely approval of documents by market participants, as measured by timeliness of submission and approvals;
- Providing timely training to market participants and ERCOT staff to achieve readiness per the schedule, track curriculum progress towards certification, and providing input to evaluate market participants readiness;
- Chairing and managing TPTF meetings and the approval process;
- Delivering market participant system and personnel changes to meet critical timelines, as measured through market participant status metrics, ERCOT inspections, and detailed public information for each market participant regarding their organization’s status;
- Providing customer care / client reps to make knowledgeable representatives available to market participants, as needed, to respond to questions or give assistance;
- Publishing comprehensive program information via the nodal website;
- Establishing a market information system using third-party tools to produce an optimum user experience, as measured through internal and external market participant survey data, e-mail, feedback channels, and evaluation forms.
